Please carefully review the following before participating in the NLGA Club Championship.
- First group out each of the two mornings will re-position the red tee boxes, if necessary
- Review the Scorecard – and ensue it is for the Ridge (Day 1) or Valley (Day 2). Exchange your Scorecard with another player in your group, preferably one in the other cart. This will be the official Scorecard for the Championship. On the bottom of the Official Scorecard, keep your own score and that of the other players in your group as a back-up.
- At the conclusion of the round – ensure that your Official Scorecard contains the following information: date, your full name and current handicap, and accurate gross score. Then, sign and have the Scorecard attested and hand it in to the Scorekeeper(s) at the Putters’ Green on Day 1. On Day 2 hand in your scorecard to the Pro Shop.
- Scores will be posted by NLGA Executive as a Tournament Score. Handicaps will be frozen for ALL rounds of the Championship.
- For any rule disputes that cannot be resolved within your group, please contact Jamie Sheppard (705-435-5504). If it remains unresolved, play a second ball and the matter will be decided after the round has been completed. The player must hole out both balls.
- Ties for the Overall Champion – will be decided by Sudden Death, starting on the first hole. Ties for Lowest Overall Net Score will be determined by Retrogression on gross scores. Ties for Flight Winners will be determined by Retrogression.
- Suspension of Play – if weather prohibits completion of the round, as determined by the Pro Shop, note the hole as play will resume on the tee of that hole, unless otherwise determined by the Executive. A Rain Date has been established for the following week if necessary. You may or may not be playing a different course.
- “Hole out” all balls i.e., no “gimmees” – or picking up after reaching the maximum score on a hole (if you do so, you will be disqualified).
- Winners will be determined – by using the Total Scores for the two (2) rounds. A minimum of 27 holes will be used under special circumstances, as determined by the executive.
Scoring notes:
- A Gross and Net Score Winner will be determined for each Flight, unless otherwise specified
- A Player cannot win both the Gross and Net Score in their Flight
- A Player cannot win in more than one category
- The Overall Club Champion will be the Lowest Gross Score in the field
